I got to add another Miller family to my books this fall! It was so fun meeting up with this lively crew for their family photos in Elkhart.

We had some overcast skies since rain was on the way, but we managed to finish up before it came! We also had Cobus Creek County Park pretty much all to ourselves and we used it to our advantage! The oldest two kids quickly made it known that they wanted to run around the big open field. So that’s what we did! To say that I was out of breath by the time we were done is an understatement. It was so worth it getting some beautiful candid smiles though. Talk about some fun fall family photos!

I always incorporate lots of movement in any photo session, but especially family sessions with kids. We moved quickly and also let the older kids take short breaks to run around and be themselves. Eventually they had no other interest other than playing on the playground we were close to. So we pivoted over to the playground for the last 10 minutes and captured even more smiles and giggles. Who knew that you could get some awesome candid photos while swinging and climbing rocks?
