Matt and Kelsey had a large wedding planned on New Years Eve of 2023, but they chose to also have a separate, intimate ceremony at St. Maria Goretti in Westfield two nights before. I was beyond honored to capture this special moment for them as they became husband and wife in front of roughly 20 friends and family.

Since it was a short and sweet occasion, Matt and Kelsey’s details couldn’t have been more intentional and special. Kelsey’s beautiful dress is her mom’s wedding dress that she had altered and slightly modified. The lace handkerchief wrapped around her bouquet is a gift from her mother as well. Her sisters helped her get ready, and her first look with her dad was so sweet and emotional. Matt lit up when he saw her walking down the aisle, and the interactions they shared with each other during the intimate wedding ceremony were so heartfelt.

After the beautiful ceremony, we took a few family photos and made sure to recreate a photo of Kelsey in her mom’s dress that her mom got. Even though I only spent a couple hours with this sweet couple and their families two nights before New Years Eve, I felt like I had known them for years. I was beyond honored to witness such an incredible moment and capture their intimate wedding ceremony in Westfield, IN.
