I had only seen photos of the timeless Indiana State House in downtown Indianapolis, so getting to capture Dylan and Kaci’s elopement there was magical! They had Mary Me In Indy, LLC officiate their short ceremony with only their parents and siblings in attendance.

The natural light coming through the roof and the elegant architecture of the building makes for a beautiful backdrop for elopements and weddings. As you’ll see in the photos below, there is so much versatility with the top floor. Between closeups, shots from yards away, the classy elevators, and the grand steps, we had no issues with great photo spots. Thankfully, Kaci had given me a heads up on what her vision was for their photos, and I was able to easily execute them.

Because their elopement was planned so quickly, I didn’t have long to get to know them before or after. What I love about this sweet couple is that they’ve known each other and dated since high school (11+ years!) and they just wanted to make it official without the stress of a large wedding. Their sweet, intimate, timeless Indiana State House elopement was simply perfect. I love how their photos turned out and it was tough to narrow down my favorites for this blog post.
