Old-Fashioned and Simple Summertime Wedding in Fort Wayne

July 9, 2024

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Sovitzky! Richard and Erin had a very simple, old-fashioned vision for their summertime wedding, and it all turned out beautifully!

Erin chose to wear her mom’s prom dress as well as her grandmother’s veil. This veil in particular went over her head for the ceremony for her dad to draw back when it came time to give her away. It was the sweetest moment! Erin also made her nieces matching dresses and did her own hair, makeup, and bouquet! This bride is very resourceful and made her own wedding dreams come true.

Richard and Erin each had one person standing with them and didn’t have many photos on their “must-have” shot list. They both showed up at Redeemer Lutheran Church completely ready besides Erin’s veil and didn’t have a staged first look. They wanted a few family photos and a few just married portraits, but then it was time for the traditional Lutheran ceremony. Richard and Erin had a sendoff on the front steps of the church after the ceremony and drove off to the reception. Their guests had a little too much fun throwing flower petals at them as they made their way down to the street. Erin threw her bouquet at the very end and one of her nieces caught it!

I absolutely loved being part of this sweet couple’s simple, old-fashioned, summertime wedding in Fort Wayne! Please be sure to look through my favorites below and shoot me a message if you want to work with me for your wedding!
