I’m so glad Daniel and LaShawn’s joyful engagement pictures are the first ones that I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing at the Newfields Lilly House in Indianapolis!

This sweet couple is tying the knot in 1 week in Terre Haute! I couldn’t NOT share their beautiful engagement pictures before then. They were truly naturals in front of my camera, and I have LaShawn to thank for that. She’s loved taking photos as long as she can remember! Of course, that means she’s made Daniel take A LOT of photos with her over the last year. I hardly had to give any direction after giving initial posing instructions! They just ran with it and made my job so easy.

Daniel is in the military and is based in Terre Haute, but LaShawn is all the way up in southern Michigan! They met on Bumble and it was love at first swipe 😉 They’ve been extremely intentional and made a long-distance relationship work for a year. Now they are planning their wedding within 4 months of being engaged! That being said, when LaShawn found me on The Knot, we had to get moving quickly to get engagement photos scheduled. With not a lot of available dates to choose from, we prayed for great weather. To say that we definitely got it is an understatement! It was actually WARM with SUN! That’s almost unheard of in the winter!

It’s so obvious that Daniel and LaShawn are head over heels for each other! Their joy and love just overflowed in each of their engagement photos.
