Daniel and Grace got engaged this fall!! This was my second time photographing a proposal at Saint Mary’s College and I’m not at all mad about it.

Grace attended Saint Mary’s College while Daniel attended Notre Dame. They’ve since moved their lives over to Virginia, but they still come back from time to time for football games. Daniel had the amazing idea of proposing on the bridge at Saint Mary’s when they were in town for the USC game. He wanted to make it extra special so he got both of their families and friends to come to the game with them. Daniel’s sister is a graduate student at Saint Mary’s and helped him plan it all. She knew that Grace would probably want it photographed so she went to work finding a photographer. Daniel’s mom also helped with that and found me! I soon got an email from Daniel and we started planning!

When October 14 finally came around, rain was forecasted all day. That didn’t stop Daniel and his family from making the proposal happen. I pulled out my trusty clear umbrellas and hit in the bushes by the bridge. They finally arrived, Grace said yes, and we walked around campus to find a covered area to take some engagement photos.

After communicating with Daniel for nearly a month, it was so nice to finally meet Grace and see their love for each other overflow into each photo.
