Blush and Navy Summer Wedding at Chapel Road Retreat

Ryan & Lindsay Kumfer officially tied the knot at their long-awaited, breath-taking summer wedding at Chapel Road Retreat in Andrews, IN!

It’s hard to put into words just how much this couple means to me and how much I enjoyed spending time with both before and at their wedding! Every single one of their details came together so perfectly, and their wedding was executed flawlessly! They prepared for a lot of tears, but I had no idea just how many. They did a first touch instead of a first look, so I knew Lindsay’s walk down the aisle was going to be tear-jerking! Little did I know that the tears wouldn’t wait until then to start flowing. It was so evident how much they love each other and how much their people love and celebrate them!

This was my first time at Chapel Road Retreat, and it very quickly made it’s way to the top of my list of favorite venues! This place is gorgeous and provides the perfect backdrop for a timeless and romantic wedding! We played with the clouds and sun all day, but it couldn’t have been better weather and there are so many beautiful spots for photos! I think Lindsay’s flower bouquet is one of the biggest I’ve ever seen and I don’t know if I’ve ever witnessed a more intentional first look with the bride and her father.

Since they didn’t do a first look, we did all the family and wedding party photos after the ceremony. They didn’t get time to be with alone each other until after all of those photos were done. Normally I go right into posing the bride and groom when it’s time for their photos, but I could just sense that they just need to be BE and not focus on anything else. And for about 10ish minutes, that’s exactly what I let them do! I didn’t give any prompts, they just did their thing! Part of why I love doing engagement photos before the wedding day is because they already knew my posing style and they automatically morphed into them without me saying anything! That’s how talking about their day and loving on each other got some great photos!

Ryan and Lindsay are some of the easiest people to celebrate, and I’m so honored to have gotten a front row seat to it (and participate!). Their summer wedding involved so many rockstar vendors that worked so well together:
